Effective date: September 1, 2026
Plaer LLC (“Plaer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Plaer mobile application (the “App”), an offline music player available internationally.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the App, why it is processed, how long it is retained, when it may be shared, and the privacy rights available to you. Plaer LLC, established in Cyprus, is the controller of personal data processed for Plaer’s own purposes.
privacy@plaer.app to exercise
applicable privacy rights. The App stores information needed to provide its offline music-player functionality, including:
This information generally remains on your device. Plaer does not upload your music library or locally imported audio files to its servers.
Deleting the App may delete locally stored information, subject to your device, iCloud, backup, and Apple settings. Plaer cannot restore local library information that was never transmitted to Plaer.
If you choose to use the in-app feedback form, Plaer may receive:
Providing an email address or attachment is optional. Please do not include sensitive personal information, confidential third-party information, or content you do not have the right to provide.
Plaer uses feedback submissions to respond to requests, investigate problems, improve the App, maintain safety and reliability, and understand product needs. Plaer may use aggregated or de-identified feedback insights for product analytics, business planning, and marketing strategy. Plaer does not use an email address supplied through the feedback form to send advertising or other marketing communications.
Feedback submissions are accessible only to Plaer LLC employees responsible for feedback handling, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
Plaer uses analytics to understand how the App performs and how its features are used. Depending on the implementation and your region or choices, analytics information may include:
Plaer does not use analytics to inspect or upload the contents of your local music library. Where applicable law requires consent for analytics or related device storage, Plaer will request consent before using those technologies.
Plaer processes crash reports and technical diagnostics to identify failures, maintain compatibility, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. This information may include:
Crash reports are not intended to contain audio files, screenshots, feedback text, or the contents of your music library. Incidental information may nevertheless appear in diagnostics, so Plaer limits access and uses the information only for legitimate operational purposes.
When the App communicates with Plaer’s servers, including for feedback and version checks, Plaer may log:
Plaer uses these logs to deliver the requested service, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, maintain security, enforce limits, and comply with legal obligations.
The free version of the App uses Google AdMob and Google UMP. Depending on your location, privacy choices, device settings, and the type of ad served, Google may process information such as:
Where permitted, advertising may be personalized only when the necessary consent and platform permissions exist. Otherwise, Google may provide non-personalized or limited ads. Non-personalized or limited ads may still use information for contextual ad selection, frequency control, aggregated reporting, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance.
Plaer uses UMP to present consent or opt-out choices in regions where they are required. When available, you can reopen these controls through Settings → Privacy Choices in the App.
Plaer does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency authorization and does not deliberately request IDFA access for cross-app or cross-site tracking. If Plaer’s tracking practices materially change, Plaer will update the App, its permission flow, and this Privacy Policy before introducing that processing.
For information about Google’s processing, see:
Purchases of Plaer Pro are processed by Apple through the App Store. Plaer does not receive your complete payment-card or bank-account details. Apple may provide the App with product, transaction, entitlement, renewal, refund, or revocation information needed to deliver and verify the purchase.
Apple processes purchase information under its own privacy policy. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
When you import audio through Files or iCloud, Apple and the selected storage provider may process the file selection under their own terms. The App copies accepted files into its local storage and does not upload them to Plaer’s servers.
If you import audio from a direct URL, the App contacts the server identified by the URL you provide. That third-party server may receive your IP address and other ordinary network information. Plaer does not control that server or its privacy practices.
Depending on your location, Plaer relies on one or more of the following legal bases:
| Processing purpose | Typical legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing offline playback, imports, settings, purchases, feedback, and requested support | Performance of a contract or steps requested by you |
| Operating the App and servers, preventing fraud and abuse, maintaining security, and diagnosing failures | Plaer’s legitimate interests in providing a secure and reliable service |
| Product analytics and improvement | Consent where required; otherwise Plaer’s legitimate interests in understanding and improving the App |
| Personalized advertising and advertising-related device storage or access | Consent where required |
| Non-personalized or limited advertising | Consent where required, legitimate interests where permitted, and compliance with applicable law |
| Retaining records, responding to lawful requests, and enforcing legal rights | Compliance with legal obligations and Plaer’s legitimate interests |
Where Plaer relies on legitimate interests, Plaer considers the necessity of the processing and its effect on your rights. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests as described below.
